An attempted robbery was reported at the Dixie Quick Stop on Ridgecrest Road early Saturday morning. Police say that a man wearing a bandanna and coat came into the store with a baseball bat demanding money. The clerk said, “Hey, I recognize your voice,” at which time the subject fled the scene. There were no injuries and no arrests made, but trace evidence was recovered. Altus Police are asking anyone with information to call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 482-TIPS.
