Sexual assault investigation continues

Altus Police continue the investigation of a sexual assault that was reported at 12:07 p.m. Monday in the 2100 block of Cherokee Strip.

“The victim is 18-years-old,” said Police Chief Mike Patterson, “and she knew the assailant,” he said.

Patterson said that the information would be turned over to the District Attorney to determine charges. “We will probably have to do reinterviews before any charges are filed,” Patterson said.
