The Town of Olustee is proposing to expend Federal funds in an area that is subject to flooding as identified by the Federal Emergency Management Administration. The subject funds are Community Development Block Grant funds administered by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.

The Town of Olustee is proposing to replace the existing Turkey Creek water supply line crossing with new high density polyethylene pipe. The existing water line will be approximately 25 feet below the current bottom of the creek. The length of the line replacement will be 500 L.F. The project site is located in N/E 1/4 of Section 21, TIN, R21W. The purpose of this notice is to give an early opportunity for interested agencies, persons or groups to comment of the proposed action. The Town of Olustee is desirous of considering any feasible alternatives or adjustments to the anticipated project that might minimize any potential adverse effects upon the flood plain as a result of the project. The Town of Olustee has additional information concerning this project available for public review and coping, upon request at the Olustee Town Hall Building, 104 West 4th Street, Olustee. Any comments relative to this proposed expenditure of Federal funds in an area identified as a flood hazard should be submitted in writing to Brad Pryor, Mayor, Town of Olustee, P.O. Box 330, Olustee, OK, 73560-0330 on or before Sept. 22.
