John Coles, Coordinator of the Quartz Mountain Diamondback 100, presents a check to Shirley Sutherland, Executive Director of 3rd District CASA, from the proceeds collected from their recent ride which was held July 19, 2008. Over 97 riders participated in the 10, 40, 62 and 100 mile ride routes and the entry fees were donated to CASA-earnmarked to hire additional staff for the program. Coordinators of the DBK100 were pleased with the comments riders had about the terrain and layout of the ride that work has begun to repeat the event next fall. It promises to be continue to grow as riders discover the unique qualities found in Southwest Oklahoma.
