The Altus Ballroom Dancers and the Southwest Ballroom Dance Club of Frederick will jointly sponsor a fall dance for the public, featuring Logan Walker’s combo, “Logan and the Gang,” of Lawton with vocalist, Edie Lazenby.

The ballroom dance is scheduled from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, October 18, in Altus’ Western Oklahoma State College Student Center (enter the main building’s south door). Tickets may be purchased at the door: $15 per couple, $10 for singles; military personnel and WOSC students with identification--$10 per couple, $8 for singles. Light hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Performing in Walker’s combo are Walker, saxophone; Carlo Messina, piano; Jason Dozier, drums; and Danny Morris, bass, all of Lawton, plus songs by Edie Lazenby of Lone Wolf.

The Altus Ballroom Dancers meet from 7 to 9 p.m. each Monday in the basement Blue Room of the Altus Municipal Auditorium. Admission is $5 per couple or $5 for a single dancer. Students, military personnel and other newcomers are invited to come and learn new ballroom dance steps the first hour (fox-trot, waltz, rumba, tango, salsa, merenge, samba, swing, cha-cha) and practice the second hour.
