This accident happened at about 1:30 p.m. Friday afternoon when the vehicle at left failed to yield to oncoming traffic and hit the car on the right. Although reports were not complete at press time, police said the driver of the car at left was cited after he entered the Sutherland and Spurgeon intersection from the north, causing the accident. The car hit was traveling east. The woman driving the car was pinned and Altus Rescue got her out. She was transported to Jackson County Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.
