The Oklahoma Silent Witness Initiative travels across Oklahoma during the month of October during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Silent Witness Project is a national initiative that honors those individuals who were murdered by current or former intimate partners. Each life-sized red silhouette represents a victim. The display honors more than 200 individuals ranging in age from 3 months to 77 years who died violently at the hand of someone who was supposed to love them. The display was hosted in Altus Tuesday by ACMI House at the Altus Community Center. Jackie Williams, Family Advocacy, AFB is shown reading an epitaph of a woman who was murdered.
