flu shots given at Tuesday’s clinic

The Jackson County Health Department held a free flu shot clinic Tuesday at the Altus Community Center. According to John Thur of the Health Department, although there were 1,565 vaccines given, there are still some available. Those still wanting a flu shot can get one next week at the Health Department Monday through Thursday from 8:30 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. Appointments are not necessary. Nursing student at JCMH Jaime Blaser is shown giving Alene Simmons her vaccination Tuesday.
