Water pioneers from Southwest Oklahoma were honored with the KWHW “Legends of Agriculture” award last night during the annual Farm-City Week Banquet sponsored by the Altus Chamber of Commerce. Those honored were Orville Saunders, Robert Harbison, Hoyt Shadid, Paul H. Horto, Lonnie L. Farmer, Murray Williams, W.C. Austini and Robbie Robbins. All have been honored by the Oklahoma Water Resources Board as Oklahoma Water Pioneers since 1986. Robbins was recognized this year. Inset is Mikayla Jo Balderas who entertained the crowd in song.
