Pride in Altus & ‘DGJ’ awards presented|Chamber recognizes JCMH, Worrell

Ambassadors of the Altus Chamber of Commerce met this week at Western Oklahoma State College, at which two awards were presented.

The "DGJ" or "Darn Good Job" award was presented to Margaret Worrell for her many hours of volunteerism on behalf of the Altus Community. The "Pride in Altus" award was given to the Jackson County Memorial Hospital for their expansion programs which will provide additional care to the citizens of this region.

The new members of the Ambassador Club were also introduced at the meeting by Master of Ceremonies Michael Tucker, Investment Centers of America. They are Karlene Brock of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, Trudy Cavillo of KEY-B Radio, Renee Collingwood of Midfirst Bank, BethDobbs-Tishcler of Dobbs and Brinkman, TomDurman of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, Reagan Felker of Western Oklahoma State College, Elizabeth Marcha of NBC, Stephanie Wegner of Advantage Office Products, Butch White of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home and Christina Woods-Solis of Hampton Inn Suites.

Keynote speaker for the luncheon was Michael Simmons, co-founder of Extreme Entrepreneurship Education and bestselling author of "The Student Success Manifesto: How to Create a Life of Passion, Purpose and Prosperity."
