Chef Phil Marcha of “De Ja Vu Q” restaurant will provide three entrees. The men will offer a choice of either cajun skillet, lasagna or chicken noodle bake, along with salad, bread sticks, drinks and assorted desserts.
Entertainment will be provided by local musicians “The Hallelujah Boys” and Grace members, with Tal Oden on the piano.
Many items have been generously donated by local merchants and Grace members for the silent auction. Some of the items being offered include five days lodging in a condo in Branson, Mo., a Fossil watch and purse from Crown Jewelry, OU memorabilia, a deacon's bench, wooden hobby horse, holiday wreaths and centerpieces, dinners, lodging at local motels and olive wood items from Jerusalem. A full list of items can be seen at www.altusgraceumc.com.
Funds from the event will assist the Grace UMC “Project 50.” This new building addition has been in process for a year, with much of the work done by members of the church, 50 years after the first building was begun. The new building will eventually be the church’s new sanctuary. New classrooms, which are FEMA approved saferooms, were also constructed for the protection of Grace Day School children and staff during storm season.
The public is encouraged to enjoy a “Taste of Grace,” view the new building, bid on silent auction items and support the church’s mission in the Altus community.
