Turner said that he feels a majority of the burglaries are being committed by the same people, "Most of the burglaries are being done during the day, in the same area, so we feel those involved are probably on foot and live nearby."
Turner also said that two individuals were captured on home security video walking away from one of the burglarized houses and that detectives are currently analyzing the tape.
"One of the best ways to catch people like this for citizens to report any suspicious activity in their own neighborhoods," said Police Chief Mike Patterson. "If a citizen sees strangers walking through their neighborhood looking at houses, or walking through someone else's property, give us a call. A lot of crime can be stopped before it happens when concerned citizens get involved."
