At approximately 6:15 p.m. Monday, James Frye of Hobart was backing a trailer on East County Road 1420 in Kiowa County and crossed North County Road 2180, traveling into the path of a 2006 Dodge pickup driven by Tom Null of Altus. Null’s vehicle hit the trailer.

Neither Null nor Frye were injured, but Tarra York of Mangum, a passenger in the Null vehicle, was taken to Elkview General Hospital in Hobart where she was listed in stable condition with head injuries.

Passenger two, Chadrick Baden of Lone Wolf, was not injured.

Seatbelts were equipped and in use in the Null vehicle, but not in the Frye vehicle.

Airbags were equipped and deployed in the Null vehicle, but did not deploy in the Frye vehicle.
