Jackson County Memorial Hospital welcomes Kristen Savath, M.D. to the Pediatric Clinic at 101 South Park Lane in Altus. She joins Dr. Sam El-Takech and Nurse Practitioner Kandi Cunningham. She is board eligible by the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Savath received a Doctor of Medicine degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, Stony Brook, New York in 2007. She followed medical school with a residency in pediatrics at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine, in St. Louis Missouri, where she was recognized as the Outstanding Pediatrics Resident for 2007-2008. She was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the Medical Honor Society.

Savath is fluent in conversational Spanish. Her undergraduate studies included a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish Language, Culture, and Society and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biochemistry from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Savath comes to Altus from the St. Louis area along with her husband Captain Vincent Savath, M.D. He is a family medicine physician at Altus Air Force Base. In her spare time, Savath enjoys being outdoors, sports and scuba diving.

The JCMH Pediatric Clinic treats patients from newborn to 18 years of age, from well-baby exams to serious childhood diseases.
