Three injured in rollover accident

One person is in critical condition, and the other two involved were treated and released after a rollover accident Thursday afternoon.

According to reports from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, at about 4:26 p.m., Thursday, a rollover accident happened on South County Road 194, 2/10 of a mile south of East County Road 162 in Jackson County.

A 1997 Buick, driven by Emily M. Mayo, 17, address near Mangum, left the right side of the road for an unknown reason, entered into a broadslide before rolling one complete time, coming to rest on its tires.

Passenger Mason Dean Brown, 21, of Hollis, was ejected about 25 feet through the passenger door. He was not wearing a seat belt. Brown was Air Evaced to the OU Medical Center, and is listed in critical condition with head, arm and internal injuries.

Mayo was taken by Jackson County EMS to Jackson County Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released.

Another passenger, Brandon J. Mayo, 11, residence near Mangum, was also taken by Jackson County EMS to Jackson County Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.

Seat belts were equipped and in use by the driver and passenger Brandon Mayo.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Josh Tinsley.
