Southwest Oklahoma Republican Women and Jackson County Republican Party organizations have announced they are having their first annual Beans and Baskets Fundraiser at the Altus Community Center, west side, to be held on Thursday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m.

Deb Davis, President of SWOKRW, and David Brown, President of JCRP said they are pleased to be able to have former U. S. Congressman J. C. Watts as their keynote speaker.

Several notable state representatives and candidates have indicated they will attend and their names will be announced after final confirmation with their offices.

In addition to the program the group will be serving a delicious dinner of beans, cornbread with all the trimmings and a wide selection of homemade desserts. A large selection of theme baskets will be auctioned off by State Representative Don Armes. They will accept cash or check for payment.
