David Warren Howard, 67, passed away Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at the Jackson County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 20, 1942, in Frederick, to Wash and Vivian (Watson) Howard. He lived most of his life in Southwest Oklahoma where he was a farmer and harvester. He had also owned and operated a trucking company. David was a member of the First Baptist Church of Altus. He loved fishing and listening to Country and Western music.

David was preceded in death by his father, Wash Howard; and by his wife Lana.

He is lovingly survived by his mother, Vivian Howard of Altus; one son, Kevin Howard and wife Linda of Altus; two granddaughters, Nichole Howard and Desarea Howard, also of Altus; one sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Richard Schmidt of Vackerville, Ca.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday at the Altus City Cemetery with Dr. Jeff Moore officiating. Lowell-Tims Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
