School Board to hold executive session to discuss candidates for Superintendent’s position

The regular meeting of the Altus School Board will be held at 5 p.m. Monday at the administrative center.

Under the Superintendent’s reports and comments are school board election filing dates, and the annual drop-out reports and re-entry reports for Altus High School and Altus Junior High.

Under the consent agenda, items include rental of facilities, the All-Star Olympics the 125 plan document, use of AIS and AJH cafeterias for Bountiful Basket, and the declaration of library books, equipment and materials as surplus.

Other agenda items include new policies, the acceptance of retirements and resignations, reassignments, and the approval of proposed substitutes/time sheet employees/volunteers and extra duty assignments.

In executive session, items will include proposed new hires, and after returning to regular session, consider and take necessary action to approve or disapprove employments.

The Board will also consider and take necessary action to call for school district election, approve the final school district budget proposed for 2012-13, and approve Board meeting dates, times and places for 2013.

Other agenda items include bids for the roof at Roosevelt Elementary School, and addressing any new business, if any, of an emergency nature or that was not known at the time the agenda was posted.

A second proposed executive session before adjourning will be to discuss multiple candidates interviewed for the Superintendent’s position.
