The Tipton and Olustee boys and the Erick junior varsity girls were winners in the first round of the Cottonbelt Conference Basketball Tournament Monday night at the Western Oklahoma State College gym.

Erick JV 39, Eldorado 21

Girls

Eldorado struggled offensively while the Erick JV got a 14 point performance from Savannah Osmond.

Samantha Vantrees scored 10 points to pace the Lady Panthers.

Erick’s varsity participated in the Tournament of Champions earlier this year so the Lady Bearcats JV fulfilled the obligation to the Cottonbelt.

Tipton 72, MT. View-Gotebo 18

Boys

As expected Tipton was an easy winner in this one.

Josh Torres scored 16 points and Christian Harnden 14 points for the Tigers. MVG was led by Jordan White’s 10 points.

Olustee 78, Eldorado 49

Boys

The Eagles outscored the Panthers 39-18 in the second half to break the game open.

Olustee hit 10 three point shots in the game.

Dylan Sanchez paced the Eagles with 26 points while Taylor Avila finished with 23 points.

Olustee will meet Tipton in Friday’s semifinals at 6:40 p.m.
