The local Head Start program, sponsored by Southwest Oklahoma Community Action Group, Inc., is currently taking applications for the 2013-14 school year. These services depend on parent participation; no money is requested of families.
Classrooms have in-town door-to-door transportation, meals, and supplies provided. Services available vary by center and may include preschool for 4 year olds, pre-school for 3 year olds, classrooms for 2 year olds, home visits with the family for children birth to three, and services for pregnant mothers. Some services are school year, and some are year around.
Apply today to see if your family is eligible to receive these grant-funded program services. Bring your information to one of the centers listed below with: Proof of family income (form 1040, W-2s, DHS statement, or 3 pay stubs), child’s birth certificate and shot record, or letter from doctor or pregnancy.
