She was born Sept. 9, 1950 in Altus to Elmer and Betty (Howard) Williams. She spent her life in Altus where she married her husband, Mike. She worked for the City of Altus as an Accounts Payable Clerk until her retirement. Brenda was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the FOP.
Brenda was a fun loving individual and enjoyed traveling in the RV with Mike. When at home she loved flowers and working in her flower garden. But the thing Brenda loved the most was spending time with her grandchildren and her family.
She is survived by her husband, Mike; one son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Stephanie Howeth of Lavon, Texas; one daughter, Lisa Ishcomer of Martha; two sisters, Melba Bales and husband Jim of Altus, and Kathy Brown and husband Charlie of Lawton; one brother-in-law, Donald Howeth of Duncan; as well as six grandchildren, Matt Howeth, Haley Howeth, Madisyn Howeth, Tyler Davis, Dylan Davis, and Ryan Davis; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Betty Williams; her daughter, Tammy Christine; and one niece, Stephanie.
Services were held Tuesday in the Lowell-Tims Chapel with Billy Norton officiating. Interment followed in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.
