Guenther Phillipp Gramb, 72, died on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had been a Peninsula resident for the past five years. Guenther retired from the U. S. Air Force in 1978 from Ellsworth AFB, S.D. as a Tech. Sgt. with 20 years of service. He was a Vietnam Vet.

He also was an avid fisherman.

Guenther is survived by his son, Rick Gramb of Newport News, Va.; his daughter, Barbara Barry of Altus; his sister, Roe of Sayville, N.Y.; his five grandchildren, Amanda, Rob, Missy, Mike and Chris; and his great-grandson, Wyatt.

A graveside service was held Tuesday, Nov. 27 at Albert G. Horton, Jr., Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, Va., with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to DAV, 15460 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA 23608. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home in Newport News, Va.
