Carl Dean Rutledge, 77, of Oklahoma City, formally of Altus, made his way to Heaven Jan. 7, 2013. He was a loving Christian husband, father, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend. He was born on July 2, 1935. Carl served in the Air Force for 20 years, retired from the service and then worked for the state of Oklahoma for 15 years. He loved fishing, working in his woodshop, spending his winters with his wife Linda in McAllen, Texas, and spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carl was preceded in death by his father, Clarence; mother, Pearl; son, David; grandson, Zachary; three brothers; and a half-sister.

Carl is survived by his wife Linda Rutledge; son, Dean Rutledge and wife Jane; daughter, Barbara Glidewell and husband Johnny; brother, Harold and wife Vernadean; one sister, Lydia Strayhorn; one half-brother, Marion Gwynn; four grandchildren, Sara, J.C., Samantha, and Sandra; eight great-grandchildren, Ashley and Zachary Baragona ( and one on the way), Zoe and Cade Glidewell, Keagan and Koyie McGowen, Jayden and Cali Cassady.
