The Rural Renewal Initiative at Oklahoma State University has announced the 2024 Rural Scholars for this summer’s research and service experience across the state. The Rural Scholar internship program features 10 weeks of residency in rural Oklahoma communities where OSU undergraduate and graduate students study the top challenges of rural areas in Oklahoma and the world.

Oklahoma Chautauqua 2024 is set for May 28 – June 1, 2024. The evening performances will take place on the Western Oklahoma State College campus at 2801 N. Main St. in Altus at 7 p.m. Attendees are asked to please park in the North parking lot and enter through the North door. Daily workshops are scheduled at 11 a.m. at the Altus Public Library, 421 N. Hudson in Altus and 2 p.m. at the Museum of the Western Prairie, 1100 N. Hightower in Altus.

Oklahoma Farm Bureau teamed up with county Farm Bureaus to donate a total of $12,400 to food pantries and food assistance programs across the state through the 2024 Farm Bureau Cares: Community Food Donation Matching Program.
