Cameron University joins Workforce Recruitment Program, aimed at students and alumni with disabilities

Cameron University has joined the Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP), a recruitment andreferralprogrammanaged by the U.S. Department of Labor and the U.S. Department of Defense. The program connects federal and privatesector employers nationwide with highly motivated college students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to demonstrate their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs.

OKFB Foundation for Agriculture awards mini grants to Navajo FFA

The Oklahoma Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture has awarded ten organizations around the state with grants through the foundation’s mini grant program. The $500 grants are awarded to county Farm Bureaus, 4-H clubs, FFA chapters and classroom teachers to fund projects that enhance agricultural literacy in Oklahoma.

Jackson County youth win awards at Oklahoma State Fair

Renee Howard from Headrick, in Jackson County, recently placed first in the White Bread Category of the Senior Division at the State “Best of Wheat” Bread Baking contest held on Sept. 24 at the Oklahoma State Fair. Her entry of White Bread topped the other entries in the class and also won her the title of Grand Champion for the Senior Division.
