If you own a small business or are self-employed, you’ve always got plenty to do, but you can’t forget about the days when you’ll be less busy — that is, when you’re retired. How can you prepare for that time of your life?

Inever really thought about what my cats do at night. They’re usually pretty quiet during the night, thankfully. One of them (my favorite one, if we’re being honest) trained himself to come to my room every morning five minutes before my alarm goes off to get cuddles and then get carried to breakfast.

Awhile back, Old Charlie rode up to his mailbox and found a letter there. There was no stamp and no return address! He had to go up to the ranch house, which was more like a shack, and get his reading spectacles so he would know what the letter even said! And with his glasses: Dear Charlie, I will be out by the ranch Saturday afternoon, and I’d really like to stop in and visit with you.

On Sept. 1, the Altus Bulldogs traveled to Cache for a “Battle of the Bulldogs”. It was a hot one, so the game was pushed back to 8 p.m. in order to beat the heat. The Altus crowd was a big one as Cache is only about a 45-minute drive and everyone was excited to see the new-look Bulldogs in action. The game was closer than the score deceived.
