Throughout this season, the Altus Bulldogs will be honoring Altus Alumni or Altus community members who have given back to our students, school, community, and nation. Honorary Capitan is a lifelong Bulldog.

There was a lot of excitement in the air last Friday as the Bulldogs hosted the Eisenhower Eagles for homecoming. The stands were packed full of anxious Bulldog fans as they wanted to see if their ever- improving Bulldogs could pull off a win. It was a very fun game to watch, with the Eagles coming out on top 26-10.

LAWTON – The Altus High School Lady Bulldog Volleyball team continued their winning ways this past week by defeating Snyder 3-1 on Tuesday and then travelling to Lawton High to win a thrilling 3-2 match.

The Altus High Lady Bulldog Volleyball team gave the home crowd quite a show on Thursday night when they defeated the Elgin Lady Owls. The contest was a battle with Altus winning 3-2 (25-18, 20-25, 20-25, 25-21, 15-10).

Oklahoma! is the first musical written by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. The play is set in farm country outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory, in 1906. It tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams and the courtship between Laurey and two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and farmhand Jud Fry. Cowboy Will Parker and his flirtatious fiancée, Ado Annie, are a secondary love story in the musical. She is courted by the equally flirtatious peddler, Ali Hakim, while poor Parker is off in Kansas City.
