The Local Emergency Planning Committe (LEPC) will hold a special meeting concerning the Jackson County Hazardous Mitigation Plan at the Altus Fire Station, 120 N. Park Lane, on Friday, Aug. 20 from 10-11:30 a.m.
The meeting will be for community participation in updating the Hazardous Mitigation Plan for Jackson County.
the grant is crucial for procuring grants for the health and safety of communities within Jackson County in the event of a natural disaster.
The plan will be addressed for update and review.
The public is welcome to attend and express concerns and interests in the disaster plan, and assist in the review.
