Longtime Altus-Victory resident, Patrick Alan “Pat” Talley, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 18, 2024. Pat was born March 11, 1948, in Altus, Oklahoma to Eunice and Elton Talley. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Teresa Talley and Marilyn Talley Richards; and an infant brother, Timothy Talley. Pat is survived by his sister, Cynde Talley Holloway and her husband, Kenny, of Oklahoma City; and by one nephew, Jeffrey Holloway of Edmond. Also surviving is his dear cousin, Alicia Talley and her husband, Alan Smith, of Federal Way, Washington.

Pat graduated from Altus High School in 1966 and entered the U.S. Navy where he served four years. After honorably discharged from the Navy, Pat attended New York University where he earned his Bachelor’s in Fine Arts. Upon graduation, Pat returned to Altus where he continued his study and practice of art, producing many personal pieces, all in abstract form. His return allowed him to help manage the family farm where he was active until he and Elton retired from farming. Pat especially looked forward to the wheat harvest where he enjoyed running the combine and hearing the grain as it fell into the hopper. Pat was an avid car enthusiast and prolific reader.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date and his ashes will be committed back to the earth on the family farm. Online tributes may be made at www.kincannonfuneralhome.com
