Jenifer Jean Briggs was born March 10, 1934, in Arapaho, Custer County, Oklahoma. Jenifer Jean Brown, known as JJ, was the oldest of two daughters born to Ivy Ruff Brown and Ina Mae Shankland. With her sister Nancy Lee Brown, Jenifer grew up in the Arapaho and Clinton area graduating from Clinton High School in 1952. She attended 2 years at Oklahoma A&M (OSU) in Stillwater and was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority.

James Raymond “Jim” McLeod, 79, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away November 21, 2023 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital. A private family burial will take place at the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

Ann Hughes went to her heavenly reward on November 10, 2023, peacefully and surrounded by those who loved her. Ann was born January 26, 1937, to Bart and Joyce Ann Caldwell in Wewoka, Oklahoma.

Robert Dale Harris, 66, of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on November 7, 2023. He was born on June 2, 1957 in Amarillo, Texas to Robert “Bob” and Billie “Sue” (Stephens) Harris. Robert Lived in New Mexico from birth until the age of 7, his family lived in Amarillo, TX, while in amarillo he was save by Jesus at the age of 8, at the First Baptist Church. The family moved back to Altus, Oklahoma in 1974, where he graduated from Navajo High School in 1976.

Warr Acres resident, Dana DeeAnn (Conger) Fall, age 66, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 19, 2023. She was born December 30, 1956 in Altus, Oklahoma to Jim and Avanell (Sexton) Conger. After graduating from high school, she went on to attend Western Oklahoma State College.

While there, she met Michael Fall and it was dislike at first sight for them both. After working together on a project, Mike would avoid Dana in any way possible.

Maria Derruisseaux Maria Luisa (Lopez) Derruisseaux, age 81, longtime resident of Altus, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Ann’s Skilled Nursing & Therapy in Oklahoma City.

Janet Larue Johnson passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Duncan, OK at the age of 75. Janet was born on August 17, 1948, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Dillard “Debo” and Oneita Jane (Wilson) Kulbeth.
